Perhaps the most spectacular mountain scenery in Spain is found in the Pyrenees, the second largest range in Europe, forming a massive natural border between Spain and France. The two most beautiful areas of the Spanish side of this great range are the Aiguas Tortes National Park, known for its myriad lakes and flowers, and the National Park of Ordesa and Monte Perdido, recently named a natural World Heritage Site by UNESCO. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX With approximately 27 peaks over 3,000 metres, these mountains offer some wonderful walking opportunities. Our guided itinerary offers a selection of the best walks here, focusing primarily on the southern face of the range, from one or two routes lower down in the typically warm and Mediterranean environments of the southern slopes - known as the Alpujarras - to some wonderful spots higher up where abundant sunshine and water from snowmelt create some paradise-like alpine settings. Weather permitting, we will summit Mulhacen, the highest peak in the range. AIRPORT PICKUPS AND TRANSFERS:	We can arrange for you to be met at Granada Airport and transferred to the hotel at the start of the tour, and also for you to be transferred directly from the hotel back to the airport on completion of the tour. These transfers will cost 35 euros per person (2 person party) and must be paid directly to the driver.
